KILLEEN ELITE YOUTH FOOTBALL
Help make history by trying out for Killeen's elite youth football team. This year Killeen is introducing two expansion teams to compete in the Central Texas Youth Football League (based in Temple,TX). The first team will consist of children ages 10-12 years old (4th-6th grade), weighing under 165 Lbs. The second team will consist of children ages 7-9 years old regardless of grade level weighing under 135 Lbs. Payment plans are available as long as full payment is made no later than 21 August, 2008. Registration is $80 per child and $60 for each additional sibling, this includes cost of insurance, jersey, shoulder pads, and helmet only. All practice pants, game pants, practice jerseys, mouth pieces, footwear, and other equipment to include knee, thigh, hip, and butt-pads are the responsibility of the parents. Fundraisers will also be done during pre and regular season to raise money for the game pants, banquet and trophies. Tryouts begin 28 July, 2008 with the season beginning 6 September, 2008 and ending no later than Thanksgiving. Positions will be held for the first 30 applicants in each age group. Each team is guaranteed at least 8 regular season games. Play offs are record dependent. We are interested in all caliber of players regardless of experience level although experience is a plus. The Central Texas Youth Football League is a highly competive League with a strong reputation, over 20 teams per age group, and years of experience. All players should be strongly committed team players with good sportsmanship and the spirit to win. We ask that all applicants be coacheable children with positive attitudes, and all players and parents will be required to sign a code of ethics prior to the acceptance of their application. Parents are encouraged to volunteer and participate as much as posible to help the team. The invitation is open to anyone interested in positions as assistant coaches and team parent (team-mom). All coaches must be able to pass a background check and become certified by the CTYFL. Coaches must also follow code of ethics. All practices will be held in Killeen (Longbranch Park until further notice) from 6pm-8pm, 3-4 times weekly with games played every Saturday between 9am-6pm at West Temple Park (W. Adams) in Temple, TX. Practice times may be adjusted when time changes or when school year begins. A little info about myself: I began coaching youth football in 2003 and have coached with CTYFL for 2 years now. I have five years of experience coaching Youth Football to include the two years with this league, I have a record of 35w/13L to include four playoff seasons. I am hoping to find the help I need to lead Killeen to a championship in its first season, as well as develope and prepare local athletes for middle school and high-school level football. Overall my goal is to promote dicipline, hard work, team work, a winning spirit, a love for athletics, sportmanship, and good health among children, with an overall goal for children to end the season with a positive attitude about athletics. I intend to condition all participators beyond their current levels and push them to work harder than they have ever worked with an end result of building young positive leaders. Please respond to this post if you are interested. I will keep all responses in mind and will ensure you receive the proper registration forms immediately. I will accept applications immediately in order to secure your registration and to ensure that we will be able to fill both team rosters. Thank you.
