Contratulations to the Briarcliffe Seahawks Baseball Team! They have been given a bid to the USCAA National Championships! The Seahawks will be heading to Virginia Beach on May 11, 2008 as they will try to win their second straight National Championship in the past three years. The USCAA named Briarcliffe as on of eight teams across the nation to get a bid to the championship tournament. It will be the THIRD STRAIGHT BID for the Seahawks under Coach Puccio. Currently, with a record of 18-16, the Seahawks have one of the best strength of schedules in the entire USCAA and are currently ranked third in the USCAA national rankings!
Registration for the WBA World Series in Now Open! - Don't miss your opportunity to have your team play in the 1st annual WBA World Series in beautiful Hershey, PA! All teams from Long Island that register with the WBA before May 31, 2008 (registration is only $1) will be eligible to participate in the WBA World Series if they so choose. Long Island Ducks Announce 2 Speicalty Clinics - The Long Island Ducks will be hosting two specialty clinics this summer at Citibank Park. The "Father's Day Clinic" will be on June 21st and the "Be a Pro for a Day" Clinic will be on July 16th and July 25th. Battle in the South Tournament Requesting Long Island Teams! - The Battle in the South Tournament Director asked me for the names of the "very best" 14u Long Island baseball teams. They have a 14u tournament in June with 72 teams from about 25 states. They recently had 3 teams drop out so they are looking for others. If you are interested, please forward your contact information to scott@longislandbaseballdirectory.com and I will pass it on.
