Created through an alliance of best-of-breed sport and safety organizations, SmartCoach protects youth athletes, coaches and the organizations they represent in areas of child safety and security. The lack of a definitive standard in coaching education has created confusion, along with knowledge gaps and inconsistencies across organizations and the coaches within them. We must do more to equip our coaches and volunteers in high-risk areas that impact our children and adolescents. SmartCoach brings together the best screening and education tools the youth sports marketplace has to offer, standardizing content, delivery, expected outcomes and certification. It’s time for a standard, and SmartCoach is it.
