Info
Titans Basketball is a character-first boys basketball program based in the East Bay community of Brentwood, California - about an hour east of San Francisco.
We are faith centered, and welcome all. Currently, the age group will be 8th grade in most comp situations, and possibly 8th/9th in certain league or tournament play.
We are not an AAU tournament-driven team. I think the modern AAU has done more to harm the development of young players than it has helped. But, it is up to us, coaches and parents, and even our young players, to insist on solid fundamental training. Not only to train in basketball skills, but to also teach the X factor character trait of mental toughness. Our ultimate goal should be success in life, not only on the basketball court.
As a youth coach, my role is to prepare our boys for making their respective high school teams, and to help each student-athlete develop a college-bound mental focus, and to develop the mental toughness to get there.
I'm amazed at the development of our boys over the past few years, as a handful of our players have emerged being as among the best in our region, and several among the best rising players in the nation.

“October 16 saw Titans' player, guard John Ketchel, attending the All Star Preps scouting clinic in Folsom, CA. John jad two standout games, showing his 3 point shooting skill, great drives, excellent passing and defense. John also had the opportunity to meet the Menlo College's Men's Basketball Asst Coach. All in all a great day for our rising star. Meanwhile, another Titans star player, guard-fwd Adam Saleh held down the homefront playing solid ball for the Immaculate Heart CYO "A" Team, helping lead them to victory.”Coach Mike Ketchel October 16 saw Titans' player, guard John Ketchel, attending the All Star Preps scouting clinic in Folsom, CA. “The Titans are a small fundamentals-first basketball club, located on the edge of the SF Bay Area, Norcal. The Titans have also recently managed to draw together 4 Adidas National Jr Phenom players. As of June 13th, the Titans have won their last 4 of 5 games; and, while winning games is great fun, we are more concerned about each student-athlete's long-term success, in life, as well as in basketball. We may play fewer games and focus more on training than many teams. We're family supported, not sponsored. We're also a Christian organization, giving God the glory, as we pursue excellence in His name. Become a fan and cheer us on!”Coach Mike Ketchel The Titans are a small fundamentals-first basketball club, located on the edge of the SF Bay Area, Norcal.
