Double Pump was founded in 1989 by brothers David and Dana Pump.
Dana and David exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit. The red-haired identical twins have created a successful business in the world of college basketball by taking their love of the game and “pumping” it into a slam-dunk venture. Double Pump Basketball, formed in 1993, is the premier place for coaches and up-and-coming players to go when they’re ready to make a move up.
“It’s all about relationships,” says Dana. “David and I began forming those relationships more than 20 years ago and have held onto our connections to help thousands of prep basketball players and coaches achieve their goals.”
The brothers’ ventures include Camps, Clinics and Tournaments – where players strut their stuff and meet with potential recruiters. They established ChampSearch – a service that specializes in matching universities with potential athletic personnel, including athletic directors and coaching candidates; and The Collegiate Business Conference – where athletic directors and coaches meet to talk about all facets of the growing college basketball industry.
The brothers are also dedicated philanthropists in the San Fernando Valley community where they grew up. Along with their mother Carole, the Pumps founded The Harold Pump Foundation, a cancer benefit foundation in honor of their late father, who lost his fight with cancer in 2000. Using their unique relationship building talents and skills, the Pump family has raised more than 2.5 Million for the Harold and Carole Pump Department of Radiation Oncology and the Carole Pump Women’s Center at Northridge Hospital Medical Center.
