Garrett is an intriguing prospect for the Division I level. He has that prototypical wing-type frame with long arms and he's an explosive athlete. He plays extremely hard at both ends of the floor and is one of the few prospects that exhibit an enormous amount of energy each and every game. Defensively, he plays the lanes very well and dives on loose balls to boot. He is very good attacking the basket, but he needs to work on his handle and mid-range game. His handle is shaky when defenders get into him and his jump shot is very inconsistent (flat release). Whether Garrett improves in these areas remains to be seen because he is an outstanding baseball prospect as well.
