Chad Pennington is an NFL quarterback out of Marshall College. He played the first 8 years in the league with the New York Jets, before being released when Eric Mangini aquired Brett Favre as a free agent.
As many as six teams expressed interest in Pennington, but the Miami Dolphins signed him and he was their starter for the 2008 season, serving as a mentor for future starter Chad Henne. In 2008, Pennington defeated Brett Favre and the Jets at Giants Stadium to win the division, a playoff spot, and his second Comeback Player of the Year award.
