Started out as an Alpine skier. Chose cross-country skiing in ninth grade thanks to a suggestion by her Earth Sciences teacher, then biathlon, over the athletic choice of her two younger siblings: freestyle skiing. Designs and sells her own greeting cards.

Johnson began a small business called Snowfall Cards in 2005 to help pay for training and fulfill her passion for artwork. Almost the entire production process is her own.
