If you believe competitive cheerleading is a sport then join our movement! Tell us why you think cheerleading is a sport on the fan page wall and spread the word with pride.
Why Cheerleading is a sport:
• It is a physical activity governed by rules under which a winner can be declared.
• Its primary purpose is to compare the skills of participants.
• Competitors are awarded points for difficulty, technique, creativity and sharpness.
• Competitive cheerleaders are trained in stunting, tumbling and chanting. (let's see you do a backflip while cheering!)
• Cheerleaders practice, train, and work as team, just like every other recognized sport.
We don't need a label to tell us otherwise!
