She's won the San Francisco Marathon and placed 2nd in the esteemed Hawaii Ironman Triathlon. Now, Dr. JoAnn Dahlkoetter, best-selling author of Your Performing Edge, is taking her sports psychology expertise to Weplay's Parents.
The newest contributor to Weplay's Parent Hood hub, is a world-class athlete, licensed psychologist and medical staff member at Standford University Medial Center. Her mental toughness and personal accomplishments have landed her numerous talk show appearances including ABC's Wide World of Sports and NBC's Sports World. She also has featured articles in several national magazines like Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, and Triathlete Magazine, which named her the No. 1 triathlete in the United States.
For the past 20 years in her clinical practice, Dr. Dahlkoetter has helped both Olympic and professional athletes achieve their goals by helping them find the mind-body connection. She continues to maintain a full-time private practice, while she trains and races in the San Francisco Bay Area.
