Thanks to Tony Hawk (any many other professional skateboarders), skateboarding has become extremely popular over the past decade. No longer limited to core group of athletes, the sport has captured the passion of youth across the globe.

And that includes Milford, MA, where 16-year-old Alex Gilbert is no exception. That’s why I was so pumped to come across this Winning Moment video. Alex may not be performing a 360 flip off a 20-ft ramp, but hey, we all have to start somewhere. Alex proves that he’s nailed the fundamentals in this video, which is more than I can say.

I hope to see an influx of skateboarding videos from the rest of the Weplay community. This sport/mode of transportation is too good not to celebrate.
