The Brockton Junior Boxers initiated this week’s Winning Moment, nominating one of their amazing 2009 plays caught on camera. If you’ve got an outstanding play to share, don’t be shy, send a link my way.
Here's the setup:
The Brockton Junior Boxers B squad is facing off against the Bellingham Falcons B squad for the Hockomock Patriot Division Tournament Championship. This is the final game of the season for both Massachusetts Pop Warner teams.
League organizer Keith Hayes wrote that the entire game had been a defensive battle on the Franklin High Field. With 10 seconds left on the game clock and the score 0 - 0 the Boxers have the ball on their own 30 yard line with a 2 and 12 situation.
Boxers quarterback #88 Kyle Melara hooks up with wide received #86 Aaron LeClair for a 70-yard touch down to win the game in unbelievable fashion. The 13U Boxers finished the season 6-2 and there’s no doubt that the players are already getting pumped for the 2010 season!
