Steve Rechel, 57, of Newark, OH tipped me off to his Winning Moment video upload.
Steve’s grandson, Hunter Rechel had one of those games that you never forget, hitting seven (Yes, you read that right) seven, RBIs.
Here’s the setup:
It’s the weekend of July 18th and 19th 2009, Hunter and his LCSA teammates are playing in the Little League Farm All-Star Baseball Tournament hosted by the North Newark Little League. It’s the bottom of the second, Hunter, #18, is at bat with his team in the hole 0-2
Hunter takes the plate, swings and knocks out a three run homer, putting his team on top for the first time in the game.
Then during the top of the fourth, the opposing team, North Fork Little League, scored three more runs. With his team down yet again 3-5 at the bottom of the fourth, Hunter proves he’s a true power hitter, making even Ryan Howard proud.
Hunter swings and hits a grand slam hit out of the park with the crowd roaring behind him. You can see the pure joy and excitement on each player’s face as they round the bases. Hunter’s team wins the game 8-6, with only one other teammate hitting for the final RBI.
Proud grandpa Steve wrote, “It was a great youth Little League Farm baseball hitting display and I was lucky to have a film clip.”
I think I like the call as much as the homer, that was great
This is one of the best winning moment videos we've posted yet. If you have a great moment caught on video, please send me a message!
