One name that comes to mind when I think of the bowling community here on Weplay is April Ellis.

A highly successful collegiate bowler at Pikeville College in Kentucky, April’s passion for the sport of bowling is invaluable on Weplay. With a resume that includes a 2004 team National Championship intercollegiate title, two All-American titles as well as sponsorship by the bowling gear distributor VISE, April’s made quite a name for herself.

To be sure, the United States Bowling Congress immediately snagged April and relocated her to Arlington, TX, where she specializes in youth development for the Congress.

The USBC, one of our founding partners on Weplay is a wonderful organization promoting healthy competition and greater knowledge of the sport of bowling. April’s community involvement on Weplay has been just spectacular as she helps spread the word about bowling.

She’s all over new tournament listings and standings, new youth programs, bowling facts, contests winner and on and on. Even for the most novice bowlers, April finds a way to encourage more participation in the sport and for good reason. Just check out the blog post she wrote today.
