An absolutely BRILLIANT exhibition by Lionel Messi catapulted FC Barcelona past the Gunners of Arsenal in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions league Tuesday.

FC Barcelona fell behind on an early goal by Nicklas Bendtner of Arsenal, then the Lionel Messi showcase began. He contributed an amazing three goals in the next 22 minutes and added a fourth goal with two minutes left in the game. Scoring four goals in a soccer match is a very prestigious feat. This win put FC Barcelona, the UEFA Champions League titleholders, into the semi-finals for the third straight year. FC Barcelona is the overwhelming favorite for the 2010 UEFA Champions League Title. This is a great warm-up for the exciting soccer that is sure to come in the FIFA World Cup.
