This question prompted 54 responses, most of which were insightful and inspiring.
This is what Weplay is all about. Celebrating the sport or sports that give us confidence and enjoyment.
From coaches who want to give back, to players who say they can’t live without the game, your answers hit a home run. More importantly, the unifying response was obvious. Sports are fun!
It’s true. Who doesn’t enjoy the challenge of healthy competition? Victoria Mirabella sure hasn’t backed down. The 14-year-old honor roll student wrote that she loves football because she’s good at it and she relishes the opportunity to release her tension on the field in a safe environment.
Yep, Mirabella hits the football field each day with her all male teammates on the Milton Hersey School football team. She just completed her second year as a linebacker and is sure to be back next year.
“When I’m out on the field I feel like there is no one who can stop me.” wrote Mirabella. “Football isn’t about battling the other team first. You have to learn how to battle yourself first and that means getting rid of all fear and doubt.”
Well put. Keep working hard and always dream big Victoria!
