When it comes to Team Moms, 34-year-old Melissa Campbell of Ozark, MO, takes the cake. Or, I should write, takes charge.
“She [Campbell] literally does EVERYTHING,” wrote Kim Spence, Ozark Crush Softball coach.
While Campbell volunteers with the Christian County Rush, her efforts and time spent go far beyond a team mom role. So much so in fact, her position extends across multiple sports. She’s more of a tri-sport team mom, supporting CCR basketball, softball and soccer. Did we mention she works with each of the CCR soccer age groups: U7, U8, U9, U10 teams?
Her team duties certainly aren’t paltry either. Handling team logistics is generally enough to push any team parent over the edge, but she checks off each task with grace. From organizing team funds, ordering uniforms and even spirit wear for parents to strut in the stands, Campbell does it all. When mother nature throws a rainout or canceled game her way, our Team Mom sends out notifications and ensures that everyone stays on the same page.
Melissa Campbell, Christian Country Rush is beyond lucky to have you on their team…I mean teams! I’m sure other team parents out there will think twice before questioning the amount of time they volunteer this season. Yes, you’ve set the bar that high!
