We’re proud to announce that Lisa Hollingsworth, of Douglasville GA, has been selected as our Team Parent of the Week. Lisa has been an intgral part of the West Atlanta Warriors for the past 6 years.
Lisa started participating with the Warriors when her son, Jordan, signed on as a member. Since that time she’s helped the players and parents a great deal. It’s no surprise that the West Atlanta Warriors made it all the way to 4th place in the 2009 National Championships!
Weplay.com: It’s pretty obvious that you love being a team mom. What do you do when you’re away from the team?
LH: I am a sports mom, so when I am not attending one of my son's football games, school or AAU Basketball games, or track meets, I find the time to Coach the Girls Varsity Basketball Team at Harvester Christian Academy. In addition to my mommy and coaching duties, I operate a small business called Alpha Athletics sporting goods and equipment.
Great Job Lisa! Good Luck at the 2010 National Championships!
Lisa’s Keys to Being a Team Mom:
(1) Utilize an auto calling system (like calling post).
(2) Always keep a player and parent phone roster with you.
(3) Keep a case of water in your car in the event someone forgets to bring the gatorade.
Hundreds of questions and answers from other parents and coaches!
