This week's Team Mom , Erika Sylvester, is with the Lakewood Astros and hails from Lakewood, CA. This busy Mom divides her time between raising her son Chauncey who plays for the Lakewood Astros and her daughter Chelcey, all while running her own business as well!
Erika says she loves watching the kids light up when they see improvements in themselves. The Astros are made up of 4,5 and 6 year olds. Most of the Astros have never played organized sports, so their is a lot of basics to teach which makes it even more rewarding. Ericka says that some of the team members who started out without any skills in baseball have improved 100% and the seasons not even over!
Erika does a great job of keeping their Weplay team profile up to date with pictures and schedules. Erika makes sure to thank the other parents of the Lakewood Astros for their contributions to the team by giving them props for bringing snacks to the game.
