“It’s a feeling that no paycheck can replace and I am very grateful that I can be there to support them,” wrote Mother of three Brenda DiProspero, 49, about her involvement in her kids youth sports teams. Ever since 1991, when DiProspero became at stay-at-home mom, she’s thankful for all the time she has with her family. She has taken this opportunity to bring her favorite hobby photography and her kids sports teams together.
DiProspero’s may not be the “official” team mom but her love for capturing the memories with her camera makes her our honoree this week!
Family has always been very important to both DiProspero and her husband Joe, 45. They have three kids, Maria, 20, Alissa, 15, and Vincent, 14. Maria plays for both the Lanchester Blast and Octorara Lady Braves volleyball teams, while her older sister has been a Russell’s All-Star Indoor Color Guard for the past six years. Win or loose, DiProspero enjoys being at every game or event with her camera in her hand capturing every moment.
It’s not hard to guess what DiProspero’s favorite tool on Weplay is - the Gallery. “I don’t post pictures for self recognition, it is for the players and families,” commented DiProspero. She is very committed to being at every game so that she can capture shots for other parents that could not make it. She understands how lucky she is to attend every game no matter the distance.
Congratulations to our Team Mom of the Week, Brenda DiProspero!
Brenda DiProspero’s Recommendations for Fellow Team Moms:
Encourage the players to see the positive in any given situation, don't take a game so seriously or personal.
Let them know you care about their sport and how they are doing in the games.
Never compare one to the other, they are individuals and are as beautiful together as they are apart.
