We asked one simple question. Why do you train?
The answers: Wepalyers train to be winners, to reach their goals, to be better leaders and to take their skills to the next level.
Just one month ago, Weplay teamed up with SKLZ, the innovator in athlete training, to find out what motivates Weplay athletes to train for excellence.
Up for grabs, only the hottest speed, agility and quickness training gear available. Each user who shared their “Why I Train” story was entered to win the SKLZ SAQ training package featuring: the multi-sport reaction ball, the agility quick ladder, adjustable speed hurdles, and the agility cone set.
As expected, Weplayers submitted a number of passionate and sincere responses. From first year teams who lack the resources to purchase new gear, to individual coaches and athletes who spoke from the heart about how access to elite gear would change their game – each entry was a pleasure to read.
A decision was made however, and today, we’re proud to announce that 11-year-old Ally Creech from Ellettsville, Indiana is our winner.
A dedicated softball player and fan, Ally wrote that softball drives her to dream big and pursue a college education. Notably mentioned in her entry was that she trains not only for herself, teammates, coaches and family, but for the many young girls out there who may not have the same opportunities she has been blessed with.
Indeed she does. Ally will be sharing her new SKLZ SAQ gear with her Edgewood Blaze teammates. But her personal goal, “I am really excited about the agility ladder because I want to be faster as I round the bases,” wrote Alley. “SKLZ thank you so much for having this contest, you really made my day.”
Congratulations, Ally!
