I’d like to send a big wave of congratulations to the Brockton Junior Boxers Pop Warner league. The Junior Boxers have won a personal visit and clinic with the four-time NFL MVP on their home turf of Brockton, Massachusetts later this spring.
Obviously Peyton and the Colts are busy working toward their second Super Bowl bid since 2007, when they took home the Lombardi Trophy. However, Peyton did write these words of congrats to the Junior Boxers, “The Boxers were just a phenomenal group of folks celebrating the sports that make Pop Warner a valuable resource.”
We agree with Peyton. The Junior Boxers have been a wonderful group to follow these past two years on Weplay. Their league organizer Keith Hayes has been a very present leader on Weplay, managing the entire Brockton league (seven teams total!). We even met BJB League President, Jay Suter at Pop Warner Nationals back in 2008. You can watch a video segment we shot with him on the Pop Warner Gallery.
The entire Brockton organization deserves a round of applause or props that is, to congratulate them on their Peyton’s Picks win. Your dedication to the players, volunteers and coaching staff has been a shinning example of how teams and leagues can stay connected both on and off the field.
