Coach Kraig O’Rourke hasn’t been a member of the Weplay family long, but he’s sure managed to standout in the last two months. A self-declared lover of sports and coaching, he’s heading up the Minnesota Premier Volleyball Club here on Weplay.
The 44-year-old Minneapolis native currently resides in Coon Rapids, MN, where he clearly takes his coaching responsibilities seriously. Just check out his about me section on Weplay. His love of competition and sports is obvious. I personally enjoy his superstition, “Winners make their own luck. So do losers.”
Coach O’Rourke is challenging his players to practice hard so that luck isn’t the game saver, skill and preparation are. The entire Weplay community can walk away from his profile knowing that he promotes a well-rounded knowledge of the game and that he understands wins and losses are inevitable in sports. That certainly deserves a Shout Out.
But what really stood out to me is that Coach O’Rourke wants to share and learn from the entire Weplay team. He recently posted a Weplay Message recapping a volleyball clinic his team attended featuring Pat Powers, a former Olympic volleyball player and now teacher. Coach O’Rourke posted a number of his “take-aways” from the clinic and encouraged discussion around these topics while also providing personal insight into his upcoming youth sports season.
Coach O’Rourke were proud to send a Shout Out your way! In less than two months you’ve proven just how valuable our youths sports community can be when all ranges of users connect, share and discuss the sports niche they love.
