Mash Up - Jonathan Toews Then & Now

By Candice Coots in

Unbelievable. There's not much more one can say about Jonathan Toews' 2009-2010 hockey season.

The 22-year-old Canadian roared into the new decade, helping his countryman win a dramatic gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. Scoring eight goals in the tournament and earning Best Forward and All-Star honors, his year was off to a unmatchable start.

Just months later, Toews and his Chicago Blackhawk teammates would win the Stanley Cup, where he scored seven goals and won the Playoff MVP trophy.

But before turning pro, his clutch moments took place on the outdoor rinks of Manitoba in the Winnipeg Province of Canada. Watch our Monday Mash Up for a inside look at #19 before the 6'2" left handed shooter came into his own.
