Baseball season is right around the corner. It can't come soon enough for our Team Mom of the Week, Heather Gray. A single mom of two boys from Fullerton, California, Gray, is committed to keeping her sons active in youth sports. She understands the importance of kids growing up with an active lifestyle and the camaraderie that team play offers.
Gray’s sons, Gage Hunter, 11, and Kaden Zane, 9, play sports year-round. Gray is always by their side, working as the volunteer team mom for the AA-Dodgers of the Golden Hill Little League, which Kaden is a member of. The Dodgers just formed their spring team, but Gray can already tell that it is going to be a great season. “I can’t wait to see how it all comes together for us,” wrote Gray.
Life outside of sports barely exists for our Team Mom of the Week, but she does manage to juggle a full time job as a Meeting Planner. Gray’s hectic schedule would be unbearable if it wasn’t for her sister, Tifani, who is always there to lend a helping hand with the boys. “I don’t know how I would do it all without her,” explained Gray.
As far as team logistics, Weplay has been extremely helpful to Gray and the Dodgers over the past two years. She has heard nothing but good feedback from all the parents. The most helpful Weplay feature for Gray has been the calendar tool because it has made things much simpler, and has taken a lot of stress off her busy schedule. It has also been a great way for the team to bond on and off the field, which to our team mom is always important.

Heather Gray’s Recommendations for Fellow Team Moms:
I would say that team parents really need to delegate. Sure it’s nice to be a super woman and take it all on yourself, but in the end you will burn yourself out.
Aside from delegating tasks, another word of advice I can give is to have fun. Have fun with the kids and the parents.
Lastly, make it personal. At the end of each season I try to give each boy a special gift from me.
