Ryan is perhaps the most highly profiled American athlete in this year's games. Last night, he came through and lived up to the hype by winning gold in the 400 meter individual medley. 2008 star Michael Phelps was also in the race, but did not win a medal.

This is Lochte's third Olympic games, and many are saying that this will be his most successful. The 27 year old Floridian is the anchor of the US men's team, and we sure hope that he keeps up the good work.
