He’s already a stand out three-point shooter at Austin High School in Decatur, AL. Even more, he dunked in his first varsity game this fall. He bears the #22 and is well on a path to college play if he keeps it up.
[The dunk happens at 1:05]
Freshman, Detrick Mostella is participating in a tradition of basketball excellence at the 6A high school, which has hosted a varsity basketball team with 20 or more wins per season for the last eight years.
Already 3/4s of the way through their season, Detrick and the Black Bears have participated in two tournaments with great success. Besides that, their regular season is 20-games strong. Their ultimate goal is to play in the Final Four tournament starting on February 23 and to win the state title on February 27th.
Tonight Austin High takes on Decatur (their biggest rival) at 7:30PM. Let’s all wish Detrick and his teammates luck! Weplay’s proud to have Detrick on our team!
