“A life outside of sports, what’s that?” wrote Tonya Lupo, our Team Mom of the Week.
Lupo, mother of three, dedicates her time to giving back to her local community. She is the team mom for the Durham Bulls little league team and the administrative VP for the Mobile Soccer club. Not only does she give back to youth sports in her town but she runs a site housing program for disabled homeless individuals within Mobile as well. “My work helps me keep things in perspective and also reminds me daily of how blessed I truly am,” comments Lupo.
Outside of her community efforts, she spends most of her time racing from many different baseball, soccer, and dance events. Her favorite part of cheering on her kids, Hannah, 14, Ian, 9, and Kathryn, 7, is capturing the best photos to share with the whole team on Weplay.
Lupo has found Weplay to be a life saver because it helps keep her organized during her always hectic schedule. Having this communication tool has made Lupo’s job as team mom scheduling practices, games, snacks, etc. so much easier. “Weplay is as necessary as the equipment you need to play your sport,” explained Lupo.
The Bulls are currently in second place, and Weplay has been the perfect place for the coaches and players to celebrate their success. Lupo is excited to see how the last couple games play out.
Congratulations to our Team Mom of the Week, Tonya Lupo! Good luck to the Bulls tonight in their game against the Muckdogs. Go Bulls!
