Coach Heather Raudenbush: A-W-E-S-O-M-E

By Brendan Dempsey in

What would the world be like without cheerleading? Cold, dark, and miserable -- that's what. Whether these athletes are showcasing their acrobatic prowess in competition or firing up fans for a sporting event, cheerleaders rule. The standard of excellence that the sport has taken on in recent years can be attributed only to great coaching. This is why we chose cheerleading Coach Heather Raudenbush, of the Poconos, PA, as our Coach of the Week.

Coach Heather has loads of experience in cheerleading; she began cheering in elementary school and progressed all the way through college, and has now logged seven years of coaching. She coaches the Pocono Cheer All Stars in PA, and has been doing so since the day the program began. You can tell how psyched Coach Heather is about her cheerleaders by listening to her talk about her team: "This has been such a rewarding experience. I coach Tiny, Mini, Youth and Senior teams which range in age from 3-18 years of age. I have been helped a great deal by the most amazing co-coaches, Chrissy Godiska and Ryan Hendricks!" She also plans to pass the cheer on down to her daughter, Carter Jace.

Great job and Good Luck from Weplay.com, Coach Heather!

Coach Heather's Keys to Success:

  • Treat parents with respect and dignity

  • Keep. It. Fun!
