Cheer Coach Helps Team Achieve their Goals

By Kim White in

Youth Sports is all about building and growing, while learning the fundamentals, this holds true not only for the team but for the coach as well. Our two year varsity cheerleading coach, Jessica Brady, from New Berlin, Wisconsin, might still be a rookie, but she hasn't let that hold her back. Brady has set very high standards for her team and is totally confident, that with hard work and dedication together they will reach their lofty objectives. These coaching fundamentals and goal oriented qualities are what makes Jessica Brady our outstanding Coach of the Week!

As the Kettle Moraine Lasers Varsity cheerleading coach, Brady has savored every moment of watching her squad mature over the past several years. This year has been a rebuilding season for her squad with a total of eight new freshmen on the team. She has been so proud of all the girls because everyone on the team has really stepped up to the plate. Brady writes that she has a "proud mama moment” every time the girls come to her and want to demonstrate how much they’ve improved their skills through personal hard work and her diligent guidance.

The Laser's goal this season is to make Nationals in Florida. Brady knows the pressure will be on, and that their competition routine will have to be absolutely perfect. She has already seen their talent and performances jump to a new level of excellence, and knows that they will give 110% in order to achieve their goal.

Even when Brady is not working with her team, she is always making sure that she personally stays on top of her coaching responsibilities, because she sincerely wants only the best experience and rewards for her team. When Coach Brady is not working with her Laser's, she’s often helping to choreograph programs for neighboring high schools and all star teams.

Brady loves being part of the cheerleading community and wants to always stay up to date with the whats going on in the sport, which is why Weplay has been a perfect outlet for her to stay connected. She loves how through Weplay she can not only stay connected with her team but can communicate with many other coaches and athletes. "It's kind of like a big sports support group." writes Brady about her Weplay experience.

Again congratulations to Jessica Brady on being the Coach of the Week! Good luck with making Nationals, the Weplay team is rooting for you!
