Next, it’s fitting that we honor the athletes of the inaugural 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. Now have way through the competition, the some 5,000 competitors, volunteers and officials are in full force, tackling the 26-sport line up.
Earlier today, the Byte Class Sailing event got underway, under a Horry Potter-esque setting. Gloom-filled clouds framed the water against Singapore’s financial district, where the sailors waited to begin. Not ideal circumstances, but that's part of the Olympic challenge.
