July certainly was an exciting month, and the time has now come to announce our newest Weplayer of the Month. There were a lot of great entries, a LOT of Weplay points earned, and great deal of quality sports action to be taken in. This month's decision was tough, but when the dust settled it was obvious that our newest winner, Macey, was simply head and shoulders above the rest.

Macey is an avid softball player for the Nitro 99's softball team from North Huntingdon, PA. She's a great teammate, friend, and Weplayer. Macey racked up an impressive 3219 Weplay points last month. Even more impressive are her great softball photos of her and the team dominating in their local softball league. Take a moment to check out Macey's highlight video.

For winning the title of Weplayer of the Month, Macey has won herself a brand new iPod Touch! You see, when you work hard on the field it pays off!

Congrats Macey, and enjoy your new iPod, courtesy of Weplay!

Did you know any Weplayer who scores 5,000 points in a month gets entered to win an iPod Touch and become our Weplayer of the Month?

We'll today I'm proud to announce that 12-year-old Stephen Hall not only met that point threshold, he well surpassed it, earning 8,034 points in March and the title of Weplayer of the Month!

The soccer and baseball player credits Albert Pujols as his sports idol and is looking to channel some superb hitting this spring with the MHEA 12U Eagles. Stephen and his team, who are members of the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA), have an active group page here on Weplay.

"I spend most of my time on our group page because it keeps me connect to my team and friends," wrote Stephen.

Sportin' #12 for the Eagles, Stephen is a key infield utility player, taking on every position but second base and catcher.

When asked what he enjoys most about participating in sports Stephen shared, "Making friend, having fun, and glorifying the Lord."

Stephen we're happy Weplay is helping you get more out of your baseball experience. Keep up the great work and good luck against the Yankees next week!

"When my mom told me that I had won the iPod Touch, I thought she was kidding," shared Catherine Willis, after being notified of her February Weplayer of the Month award. "I was almost speechless."

For the 11-year-old from Arizona, the news was particularly exciting for two reasons. First, she's of course thrilled to be the new owner of an iPod Touch. And second, she had been a contender for the honor three months in a row before taking home the goods. Meaning she racked in 5000+ Weplay Points every month just to qualify for the title.

Which is exactly why the Weplay team is a fan of Catherine. She loves Weplay as much as we do. The exuberant young lady is a great example of a community member who visits the site daily for the pure joy of it - uploading and sharing photos, answering questions for other users, and participating in site-wide contests and games.

When she's offline, Catherine sports a red belt in Tae Kwon Do, and is working toward earning the coveted 1st degree black belt. She also wrote that she loves to "run around" and play with her friends outside. Though she did share this note of caution, "In Arizona we play outside in the winter. The summer is too hot to be out for long."

Thanks for the tip, Catherine! It's members like you that motivate and encourage us to help players, parents and coaches get more out of youth sports.
