Our choice for this June's Athlete of the Month was pretty clear: Brooke Antonio, from Deerfield Beach, FL, is an 11-year old softball powerhouse and a great Weplayer. Her team, the Deerfield Beach Sharks, just won the Florida USSSA 10U-A State Championships, and Brooke was a big help.

When she's not playing softball, Brooke likes art, her ipod touch, Weplay, and her cat. She is on the honor roll at school and also plays on the school soccer team.

Brooke's team-minded philosophy is most aptly summed up in her own words: "My team is awesome! We are #1 in the State and we have a lot of fun playing together."

Keep up the great work, Brooke, and congratulations on being our Athlete of the Month!

She's an 11-year-old standout softball player who looks up to the and only - Yankee Captain, Derek Jeter. Renee Herndon is also our May Athlete of the Month!

Also a fan of soccer and basketball (how bout those Mav's, Renee?), you can often find this Yonkers, New York girl at one sports practice or another. And don't dare try to pry her away from her favorite pitching drills. This starting ace and first basewoman lives for the game.

Which is why she brings her sports fandom online to Weplay. She makes good use of Weplay's skill and drill hubs, watching numerous drill videos to help her beef up her game.

And it pays off at the mound. "My very first time pitching, I struck out the first batter and I got out of the inning without giving up any runs," shared Renee when asked about her favorite memory playing sports.

Keep up the great work and congratulations on your Athlete of the Month honor, Renee!

16-year-old Luka Rupcic is Weplay's March Athlete of the Month.

The 6'0" sports fanatic from Vancouver, Canada began playing soccer at the rip old age of 4-years-old, and currently puts his talent to work for the Croatia SC soccer house- a perfect fit for this native Croatian.

Rupcic also plays high school basketball for the Johnston Heights Eagles. He's already gearing up for his senior year with the Eagles where he hopes to lead his team to the provincials (state championships).

Like many of our outstanding youth athletes, Rupcic primarily uses Weplay to express his love of sports when he's not playing or practicing.

"Playing sports is my favorite thing to do," wrote Rupcic describing how he first discovered Weplay when looking up sports content online. "I spend most of time on Weplay talking to other players."

    Watch Luka in action!

Indeed, our Athlete of the Month's experience is one we want to continue to support. Connecting with other youth athletes is a great way to expand your knowledge and understanding of your favorite sports. Make sure you reach and out create new friendships with Weplay users when the right opporutnity arises.

Hockey, softball, ice and street skating - our February Athlete of the Month, Lina Mirabella excels at them all.

There's no wonder Lina, 12, took to popular cold-weather sports growing up in the very beautiful, but extremely chilly, Tonawanda, New York, not far from Niagara Falls.

Both an indoor and outdoor hockey player, Lina is currently active with the Kenmore Blue Devils 12U ice hockey team. The Blue Devils are off to a great start with a 1-0 record and full lineup of games and tournaments ahead.

But while she may be obsessed with the pro hockey team, the Buffalo Sabers and working on her skating technique, this multi-sport athlete is also gearing up for the spring softball season.

A veteran of the local Kenmore softball league, Lina excels at the team's enthusiastic catcher. But for now, she's 100 percent focused on her upcoming road game against the Rochester Revenge next weekend.

Go get 'em #21! Congrats on your Athlete of the Month title and for being an outstanding Weplayer member. Keep up the great work on the ice and on the softball field.
