On January 10th, 2011 the roaring Auburn Tigers head to Glendale, Arizona to take on the speedy Oregon Ducks at the 2011 BCS National Football Championship.
The unprecedented match-up will be the first BCS title game appearance for both the Ducks and the Tigers. The game is expected to be a high scoring, well-suited match featuring two of the most prolific offenses in the country. The Ducks are first nationally in scoring offense averaging 49.3 points per game, while the Tigers are sixth averaging 42.7 points a contest.
But before the desert showdown, Heisman finalists Cam Newton (QB, Auburn) and LaMichael James (RB, Oregon) will head to Madison Square Garden for the trophy announcement on December 11th. Could the results foreshadow the BCS Championship game? We'll have to wait 30 days to find out.
