Enough about Michael Phelps it’s time for the snow and ice.
There are just 44-days remaining until the Opening Ceremonies begin at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. The greatest sporting event on earth will capture our hearts for two solid weeks as competitors in 15 sports from nations covering the globe, compete for the title of Olympic Champion.
US Speed Skater, Apolo Anton Ohno knows a little something about the pressure and glory of the games. The 27-year-old will take the ice for the third time on the Olympic stage. But this time, the stakes are even greater. Already a five-time Olympic medalist (two golds, one sliver and two bronze) combined from the 2002 Salt Lake City and Turin games, Apolo could become the most decorated US male Olympic in history if he wins just one more medal.
Let’s celebrate this great athlete and his journey to Vancouver. But first, take a look back at his 2002 Gold Medal win in the 1500meters. Share your favorite Olympic memories on Weplays 2010 Winter Olympics group too!
the gy with the american flag is so cool
I hope that Apolo does well in Vancouver! He deserves another medal!
On Apolo's website http://www.apoloantonohno.com/sweepstakes they are giving away an autographed photo of Apolo Ohno and an autographed bandana in a drawing that is weekly! Good Luck Apolo!
