The above video comes from Friday night's showdown between two high school teams from MIssion, Texas; Edinburg North and Sharyland. Sharyland ended up winning the game 48-7, but not before giving us this gem of a play that is sure to be replayed for years.
This demonstrates one of those special rules in football that you might not know about: If a missed field goal is caught on the fly in the field of play, it may be returned by the opposing team. Well well well, it was very good that Sharyland's Sean Landez knew this rule, as he made the catch, tiptoed in the back of his own endzone, then ran the entire length of the field for a score. Way to go!
